Your membership dues include your invitation to our annual dinner meeting each October, where we vote for Board members and officers. The cost of dinner is covered by MCAP!
MCAP is an affiliate of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).
NALA is the leading, professional association for legal assistants, providing continuing education and professional certification programs for paralegals.
NALA is an integral part of the legal community, working to improve the quality and effectiveness of delivery of legal services. NALA's members include over 18,000 paralegals nationally.
NOTE: Membership in NALA does not grant you membership in MCAP and vice versa.
Deb Nolan, ACP, Advanced Certified Paralegal, is our current President. She has been a member of MCAP since approximately 1992. Deb has extensive experience in handling personal injury and wrongful death claims. Additionally, she enjoys contributing to MCAP, as it is a great organization, a wonderful place to meet others in the legal profession, and the least expensive way to meet CLE requirements for NALA certification. Deb encourages paralegals and students in our community and would love to see more active MCAP members run for MCAP Board positions. She is happy to help mentor new Board members and encourages active members to take a step out of their comfort zone, take a chance, and get involved! MCAP provides a perfect opportunity to meet new friends and "pay it forward" to our legal community.
